I am pleased with the fact that St Petersburg has become the venue for the International Calligraphic Exhibition which is an important event for the city and Russia in general.

I am glad to be the partner of the project. As a researcher of ancient documents I know that the art of calligraphy has been forgotten and become the activity for a few professionals and amateurs. The impetuous tempo of technical progress and economic growth improve the well-being of the nation but not its spirituality. Our future and future of Russia depends on our eagerness to bring up the children to love the beautiful. 

The noble aim of the project, restoration of the art of calligraphy in Russia, deserves respect and participation of everyone concerned about the development of Russian culture.
